Packaging
Absolutely Gorgeous has gone down the “pretty” route. The white pump dispenser and box are printed with plush mauves, black and pink. It is sophisticated style, with a kind of Asian blossom print.
Both box and dispenser are recyclable. I do like that it has everything translated into French. I don’t speak French, and I have never been to France, but I do like berets, croissants and Marion Cotillard, so it does appeal to that more sophisticated side of me. Définitivement.
The pump for this bottle is quite small, so I need several pumps to get the amount I need to wash my face (and no I don’t have a massive head or anything). Other than that, perfectament! I don’t even know if that is a word, but you get my gist.
Product
This is a creamy cleanser based in pink clay. That sounds a bit strange, but the effects are excellent. Pink clay is renowned for refining the texture of the skin, while softening it and of course, being clay, helps to draw impurities to the skin’s surface, to be instantly whisked away. Sounds, brilliant, right?
Personally I found this cleanser to be quite nourishing. The box says for normal – combination skin and it left my skin quite clean and dewy, and really hydrated as well. I would say it would be a great cleanser for dry skin, too.
I like to use a toner after this cleanser, because it does draw impurities to the surface, and I really want to make sure every skerrick is off before I moisturise. This cleanser removes mild make-up with ease – if you are in the habit of troweling it on you may need to double cleanse.
It smells really lovely (a hint of fresh floral) and has a creamy lotion texture, but rinses off very easily. It also contains sesame oil (a fantastic skin cleanser) plus lavender, geranium and lime essential oils.
Lavender is a great skin toner, and lime helps to gently exfoliate the skin’s surface. And don’t worry; because the stearic acid derived from palm oil is certified from sustainable plantations, AND Absolutely Gorgeous do not test on animals. But the bestest bit is that the cleanser itself is pink. PINK! What’s not to love?
Cost / Usage
I only use this cleanser in the mornings and I estimate 6 weeks with daily usage, so for $24.95 it’s a steal. So there, all you people who think natural and organic stuff is expensive. HAH!

I went off to check out this organic company following your links and was disappointed to see fragrance listed as an ingredient in some of their products. Fragrance generally being a chemical concoction when listed non specifically in this way.
Hi Tammy, if you look carefully, they have 4 different ranges. Only one of the ranges Tropical Indulgence has a fragrance but the other 3 ranges Absolutely Gorgeous Skin Care, Absolutely Gorgeous Essentials and Absolutely Gorgeous Baby are complete essential oil based and some are completely fragrance free.
