“For Kate’s trademark curls, it’s all about four signature stages: drying, sectioning, curling and styling.
To get started, I have Kate shampoo and condition her hair with the Amplifying duo. To get added volume, use the tips of your fingers to gently and thoroughly massage the shampoo into your scalp.”
“I promise your hair will stay fresh and fuller all day by not activating the oil glands scrubbing often creates. Then…“rinse, rinse, rinse” is my mantra.
Next, I spray her entire head with David Babaii for WildAid Bohemian Beach Spray and scrunch the product into her hair. This gives just the right amount of texture and movement. I always rough dry her gorgeous blondeness using my hands, moving her hair in various directions.”
“Once dry, I section the hair into 3 different parts: top, sides and back leaving the nape area free. This is vital because you need to have constant control over the hair at all times. I use a 1 ½” sized ceramic curling iron to create her classic Bohemian Beach Waves.
To finish styling, I take small “V” shaped strands and wrap them around the outside or inside of the barrel, leaving the ends free. Then, I run my fingers up the partially curled strand to get a dramatic, wild finish.”
