I’m going to make a little confession – I love balms – very much so. I adore how they can be multi-purpose; you can use them for hands and body (just like this particular one) on lips, cuticles – basically anywhere your skin is in need of a little extra care. So you can imagine how eager I was to try this little tin pot of RAW goodness.
Formulated (by hand might I add – it makes for a lovely personal touch) with Virgin Coconut Oil , Pure Cocoa Butter and Cajeput, the idea is this balm feeds dehydrated skin to leave it soft, glowing and well-nourished.
The addition of Cajeput Essential Oil also adds an antimicrobial touch – similar to that of tea tree oil – which makes this good for small cuts and scraps. Personally, I’m quite impressed by this balm. The fragrance of Cajeput is quite strong at first but it settles down quickly and doesn’t overpower.
The balm feels soft on skin and isn’t greasy. Like I mentioned above, you can use this for many purposes and it’s a good size to pop into your handbag and travel with. It’s also fabulous to slather onto feet at night time – feet are often the forgotten part of anyone’s skin care routine – mine included – with all the walking and torturous high-heels that we put our poor feet through, feet definitely deserve a little pampering.
For skin that’s in need of a little extra care – whether your skin is naturally dry or has been beaten by the weather elements – this Raw Asset can most definitely be something to keep in your beauty cupboard. And what’s another plus? It’s completely natural, of course.
