I think it was for my 12th Birthday, a friend gave me an apple pie and a bottle of Devondale Apple cider because she knew they were my favourites. Needless to say none of it lastest long as it was all super yummy! 😀
The best gift that I have ever been given is a photo that my sons had enlarged and repaired that was taken 52 years ago of me and my grandfather and brother it is the only photo of my grandfather that the family has. It was taken just before we left Scotland to come and live in Australia. My grandfather died the next year so this photo is very precious to me

It is such a special gift given to me which I will cherish, love, treasure while I am around.

My new hip to be able to walk again pain free is a blessing.
A teeny, tiny, prematurely born, Russian Blue kitten, from the ‘then’ love of my life. My favourite present ever for a multitude of reasons, some happy, some sad, but all good memories now.
One of my favourite gifts was given to me by my husband and it didn’t cost him a cent… He made up 12 vouchers for me … And on each one it said things like… Take the afternoon off, one back rub, no cooking tonight, book yourself in for a manicure… It was very thoughtful and I enjoyed cashing in my vouchers 🙂
A baby! Now that’s a lasting present!
Mum gave me a beautiful signet ring and I still wear it 40 years on.

The gift of my first Grandbaby, the best gift ever given to me, he literally saved my life and is the apple of my eye!
My daughter Emma born the day before my birthday is by far the best gift I’ve ever received. She is now 22 and still a blessing.
The best gift was receiving a signed football from my fave NRL player 🙂
After loosing our first baby, I didn’t receive the support from my mother that I would have expected – her description of the baby was ‘it’s nothing’. Infuriating me, and agreeing to disagree, she must have had a rethink. Three weeks later I received a beautiful antique photo frame to hang off our dresser mirror and a dear poem bookmark. It’s funny how us girls need to seek that acceptance from our mother’s in difficult situations. This keepsake leaves me with a tangible reminder of our little girl lost.
Having my children was the best gift ever
The best gift i ever received was when my daughters took all our old home movies on videos & had them put together on a DVD. They made me cry when i got it for xmas 🙂 such a thoughtful gift.

After the birth of my son, I suffered from Post Natal Depression. Receiving a plane ticket so I could be with my family to give me support that I needed at that time is the best present anyone has ever given me.

hand made cards from my gorgeous daughter…. I will treasure them always…. <3
Being able to see my Son marry last year after suffering a brain tumor, this is my Greatest Gift.
My father’s last birthday gift to me. Instead of getting me to buy something (which most people do) he went out and surprised me with something I really needed – entry tickets to the local pool. I had wrecked my back and needed hydrotherapy. I loved the gift as he had thought about what I needed, not just what was easy for him.
My best gift was a day to myself! Literially, husband took the kids out, the phone off the hook, a ‘do not disturb’ sign on the front door and just me, a platter of antipasta, a bottle of wine and a good book. Blissful!
A spa treatment of makeup, hair, pedicure and manicure before my daughters wedding two weeks ago. I was so happy and pampered and it made me feel I could fly to the moon and back with how I looked. It was a makeover I will never ever forget and I have the best wedding pics looking like an awesome mother-of-the-bride. I would love to do it all over again… simply a magical day! Thankyou Sophie.
2 big shop display cabinets for my WWE memorabilia collection
A Mother’s Day gift from my five year old that he made at preschool it was questions he had answered about me like my favourite food or colour etc it was quiet funny considering most of the answers were actually what he liked. It gives me a giggle everytime I read it.

My favourite gift was meeting my half-sister for the first time, on my 38th birthday. Despite being brought up in different countries, we are so alike, and it was like we’d been friends for years. I couldn’t have asked for a better birthday present.
my cat- she’s turning sixteen in a few months and she’s always been my most faithful companion
A handmade card from my Grandmother. At the time I hated it – it was made from a piece of A4 paper folded in four, then some dried flowers stuck to the front and cover in Contact plastic adhesive covering. It must have been the first time she had used it because it was creased and poorly done. Now this is a special gift I still have in my possession and the is most treasured memory I own from my Grandmother.
I was given a gift of face massage from a very appreciative boss many years ago, it was very very special
Years ago for an upcoming birthday an old boyfriend asked what I’d like to receive. I said I’d like some perfume, but not to buy one particular brand as it smelt like fly spray on me. Wouldn’t you know it, this was exactly the brand he bought! This was a good gift to receive because I learned just how little he cared and how wrong he was for me, and hence I had a lucky escape!

My husband wrote me a song for our fortieth wedding anniversary. He’s musically gifted so the music was relatively easy but it took lots of love for this Aussie bloke to put his feelings into words.
My son! It was a journey but I got that little miracle.

The gift of first born Grandchildren, it’s a special gift when both my son and daughter hand their precious new arrivals to myself and my hubby at the same time, in the same room, in the same hospital. The amazing thing is that my daughter and her hubby and my son and his wife are yet again due on the same day….must be something in the water!
A “pet rock’… a carefully selected pebble from the creek bed and then lovingly decorated by my pre-school son.
My three children are the most precious gift that life has given me. But if it has to be a “thing” it would be my engagement ring, becasue at that moment everything changed. My life took a different direction to what I had planned. Destiny took over and brought me to where I am today which I’m so thankful for. I’ve a wonderful family who means everything to me.
My sons gave me a pamper/massage/wellbeing weekend way. Boy did I enjoy it!

One Christmas (10yrs ago) my best friend bought me, her sister and herself a thumb ring that says “carpe diem”. I have never taken it off and every time something seems impossible/ unachievable I just look at my thumb and remind myself that anything is possible if i just “seize the day” 🙂
