What if I told you that you could have breakfast on the table in as little as just a few minutes? And this breakfast I speak of is also nutritious, will keep you feeling full until your next eating time and has minimal cleaning up after? If this catches your attention, then consider The Muesli, which has been my latest breakfast love affair.
So what is The Muesli, you wonder? The Muesli was created by Emma Dumas, after being inspired to make a breakfast that is easy to prepare, cost effective and perfect for people wanting to live a fit and healthy life. Perhaps the most important of all about this fulfilling muesli is that it is 97% sugar free – a rather good feature considering some cereals/mueslis on the market contain an alarming amount of sugar.
There are two versions to The Muesli – the original and the gluten-free. Both of these delightful products contain only a small amount of ingredients. The original consists of – rolled oats, shredded coconut, a selection of nuts (almonds, cashews, walnuts, hazel nuts and Brazil nuts), and a selection of seeds (pumpkin, sunflower, linseed and sesame seeds). The Gluten-free is very similar to the original, only replacing oats with brown rice flakes and amaranth.
What is my opinion of The Muesli? I’ve been sampling the gluten-free version and have been happily crunching away. As mentioned above, it is indeed satisfying and helps keep away the dreaded mid-morning hunger pangs that probably make me an unpleasant person to be around. I’ve always been a fan of nuts and considering this contains quite a few varieties I’m pleased with this. The coconut also adds sweetness to the flavour but without the unnecessary addition of sugar.
