October is right on our horizon and the month-to-come is playing host to Australian Organic Awareness Month, something we’ve been patiently awaiting with building excitement.
What is it: Not for profit organisation Australian Organic have arranged a social media event during the month of October to encourage and educate Australians to the many wonderful certified organic products that have a place on our shelves.
Each week throughout October, Australian Organic will focus and celebrate key industry sectors including:
- Week 1 (1 – 8 October) Allowed Inputs – gardening and farm
- Week 2 (9 – 16 October) Organic beverages
- Week 3 (17 – 24 October) Organic skincare and cosmetics
- Week 4 (25 – 31 October) Organic food
The ambassadors: A good event always has good ambassadors and the following people are known for their passions in healthy living: celebrity chef and My Kitchen Rules Host Pete Evans, Beauty Chef Carla Oates, Health Chef Teresa Cutter and author, Health Writer Dr. Sarah Lantz and long time Australian Organic ambassador Therese Kerr.
What to expect: Information via the Australian Organic facebook page will be available sharing stories and conversations, interviews and competitions. There will be open Q&A’s with certified organic farmers, retailers and the ambassadors where people can ask about organic lifestyle and products.
