Snuggle up by our wood fire. We pile heaps of big fluffy pillows down in front of the fire, grab a blanket or three and lay down in snuggly comfort. If it hasn’t rained in a while, I love to get out and get wet. I love encouraging my kids to dance in the rain and just be silly… it’s so much fun. At other times, if it has been raining for a few days, I love to take a long hot shower, grab a cup of tea and settle into a comfy chair and read a good book. I love the SMELL of rain, everything gets clean and reborn.
Pamper day! Face masks, hair treatment, fingers and toes, with tea drinking and book reading in between.

Rainy days are always give me a good chance to get on with all those sewing jobs I keep putting off. It ties me to the house and its amazing how much creating I can get done.
I love the smell of earthy rain. It’s the only time I could completely relax even on my ‘low’ depression day. Whenever it rains, I leave my windows and balcony door open (even during winter) and let my home soaks in the smell, it helps me wind down and not be so grouchy.

I love Rainy days as long as I dont have to go out and drive in the Rain then im happy. Rainy days are always special to me. All that water coming down to feed the plants and cleanse the earth. There is a true beauty in that and so it makes me feel great. I always loved it when my kids were little and we could have an at home and indoor day where we covered the dining table with blankets and made cosy indoor forts. We would fill the fort with pillows, cushions and cosy blankets and laze about in there while reading books by torch light. So much fun. That was my favorite thing and I cant wait to have grandchildren so that I can enjoy it all over again.

Because rainy days are a rarity here, I love sitting under the veranda with a cat on my knee. Just out of splashing distance and out of the wind, I watch it come down. I watch the garden go from grimy to green, the birds wash their wing-pits and listen carefully to see if I can hear the grass grow (something my dad told me he could hear). But the highlight is scooting out with a coat over my head, to see what is in the rain gauge. I have to do it regularly because so little seems to fall. I live in hope we will get a downpour.

On a rainy day I like to go through that huge build up of clothing in the tub in the corner of the bedroom and put it all on hangers or fold it and put it in it’s proper place. I like feeling organised and I get lots of satisfaction and a feeling accomplishment when see the bottom of that tub! (My tub builds up with clothes as I’m often too tired at night to put away my clothes so they go straight into ‘the tub’. They are clothes that are clean and so not fit yet for the dirty-wash basket.)

As the rain washes the landscape clean and provides nourishment to plans and animals, it’s a great opportunity for me to do the same for myself. An hour spent on housework, followed by a beautiful hot shower, body scrub, shampoo, and application of nourishing body moisturiser, and like the environment I am fresh and ready to enjoy the meditative sound of the falling droplets.

Just like bees who can’t fly in rain when it’s wet I’m a BUMBLING mess, let’s BEE fair rain is a bit of a BUZZ kill but BEELiEVE me I love staying home snuggled up as home is where the HIVE is.
I love to bake on a rainy day and make lots of comfort food.
Bake some cakes, watch a movie with the kids and at the end of the day snuggle up with a great book.
A leisurely warm bath scented with oils or bombs, a good book and a glass of champers
Nice big bubble bath and cleanse my face and body just a total pampering day. Then relax watching movies and veg out
Usually not leave the house! My 6 yr olds is to put many cups outside and watch them fill up with water and then drink them. At least it keeps him occupied… and hydrated!
I’m a rainy day spring cleaner. Tipping out all my draws and boxes and sorting things out. I take some old clothes to the the Salvation Army and I like to cook keeping the house warm in winter.
Read a good book! Rainy days are the only days I don’t feel guilty staying in my pjs all day and reading….

I like to cuddle up with the family on the couch and show them movies from my era. Seeing them enjoy them as I did at their ages!
Have a warm bubble bath, leave the window slightly open and have some chocolate and read a book while listening to the rain.
A rainy day is a day to watch an entire series of a TV show….at least one series if not two….just because we can
Have a hot shower with Lush products. Then grab some pillows, grab a blanket, hot cup of tea and watch the rain outside my window.
Put some peppermint oil in the burner and watch some TV series that Ï have been saving and make some lovely vegies soup

Hanging with my little lads.
Run through the rain, breathing in its heavenly fresh scent and then cuddle up near a window and watch it dance against the plants in my garden , sipping a warm cup of hot chocolate.
My favourite think is to snuggle up with a coffee and watch movies all day/ night with Hubby.
Hmm – the beautiful rain. I love to lay back on the lounge and listen to the raindrops fall on the tin roof. That methodical tone puts you to sleep. And whilst the fire glows in winter with those flickering flames it is not long before slumber hits all of us – snuggling up on an abundance of pillows and blankets by the fire, be serenaded by the raindrops, bliss! Oh and after the kids wake there is nothing better than doing a happy rain dance outside with gumboots and raincoats.

I love catching up with my hobby, i crotchet baby’s blankets or for Adults, they really love them as it keeps them warm, they take a while to do as i double the blankets 🙂
cuddle up on the couch with a good movie in a perfect world that is what would happen BUT in the real world I am usually doing housework or working in the yard no matter how cold and wintery it is
I LOVE getting my granddaughter, grabbing a couple umbrellas and we go jumping in muddy puddles, Char LOVES being outside in the rain and playing. We have a fabulous time together,
A great excuse to be lazy – bubble baths by candlelight, listening to the rain pelt down on the roof – makes me feel nostalgic for the great storms I remember as a kid! They give me permission to slow down and reflect – love that!

Do all the household chores that have accumulated over the last little while. I put on some dance music to make it seem slightly enjoyable! It feels like a terrible waste of time when the weather is sunny and you just want to be outside, but on a rainy day it doesn’t feel so bad.

My favourite thing is to go dancing in the rain, we only live once and the fresh cool water is great for your skin
Rainy days are good for catching up on reading that book you have put off for so long – unwind and totally relax
going into the garden and pulling weeds out as they are much easier to get out when the soil is softer from the rain
